WVSA's Brumfield To Be Inducted Into US Youth Soccer National HOF

WVSA'S DENNIS BRUMFIELD SELECTED TO BE INDUCTED INTO US YOUTH SOCCER NATIONAL HALL OF FAME

 

The West Virginia Soccer Association (WVSA) is proud to announce that Dennis Brumfield has been selected to be inducted into the US Youth Soccer National Hall of Fame - Class of 2017.

Dennis Brumfield was instrumental in starting the first soccer league in Mason County in 1981, where he coached several teams in the Point Pleasant area. He first began serving in an administrative role as the Vice President South and Executive Vice President of the West Virginia Soccer Association.

In 1994, Brumfield became President of the West Virginia Soccer Association, eventually hiring the state            organization's first Executive Director. He also served in various positions in the WVSA referee program as a referee, referee assessor, referee instructor and WVSA State Director of Referee Instruction.

He also made contributions on a regional and national level as he served as regional treasurer for US Youth Soccer Eastern Region and national treasurer for the U.S. Youth Soccer Association.

Brumfield will be inducted at the US Youth Soccer Awards Gala on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Philadelphia Convention Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
