Some conversations I have had with WVSA members in the last week has led me to the conclusion that not everyone has seen or has read the memo from 3/10/04. I am sending it out again and posting it on our web site. There are also some other items of interest to pass along.
1. WVSA has a new web site, many thanks to Lawrence Fine, of USC and Fine Soccer. The site is www.wvsoccer.net. Check it out!!!
a. Phase 2 of the web site will be up soon and will feature on line, electronic forms for travel permits, player team status forms, guest players, cup entries and ODP registration.
b. Phase 3 of the web site is under development and will features complete online player and team registration for all WVSA Clubs and Leagues.
2. WVSA has a new home!!! We are now located at 196 Joe L. Smith Drive in Beckley. This is next to the Beckley YMCA Youth Sports Complex. Our mailing address is the same as before but all non US Postal shipping should now come to our new address.
3. WVSA, US Soccer, US Youth Soccer and all 55 state associations were notified on Friday that Chevrolet would be ending all soccer sponsorships as of 12/31/04. This is a big loss for WVSA and the entire soccer community. We are working with our marketing partners to find new sponsors. If you have any contacts with WV auto dealers who might be interested in helping us please contact me. If you know of any other companies that we can approach please let me know.

Action items from the 03/06/04 Board of Directors meeting.
1. Due to the US Youth Soccer fee increase, the WVSA player registration fee will be $10 per player starting on 9/01/04. This is an increase of $1 from the present fee.
2. The roster limit for U10 players is raised to 14.
