In our efforts toward a healthier soccer environment we are promoting the National Youth License course. One of the objectives of the course is to develop creative, self-reliant players. This objective is achieved in part by the use of game-like activities and guided discovery coaching. The course is of great benefit to both coaches and administrators in youth soccer. There are a number of “Y” License courses coming up in the balance of 2009. http://www.usyouthsoccer.org/coaches/NatYouthLicense.asp For a deeper understanding of coaching methods, especially guided discovery, and creating a player-centered soccer experience I recommend that all of our coaches and administrators attend the National Youth License course. I assure you that you will enjoy the course and learn a good deal about children and coaching. Attached to this message are files with the lists of upcoming “Y” License courses.
