WVSA PLUS ONE PROGRAM
The West Virginia Soccer Association is excited to announce a new coaching education program geared towards developing and grooming more women soccer coaches in our state: WVSA Plus One Program.
The WVSA Plus One Program seeks to encourage ALL women in the state to enroll in WVSA Grassroots Coaching Courses at no cost. Once a course is completed, these coaches will be paired with a local grassroots soccer program (recreational) in their area to begin practical application of the skills learned from their course. Coaches will also be able to participate in quarterly Zoom mentoring sessions with experienced women soccer coaches from across the country. Our goal is to develop more women coaches…one coach at a time.
All coaching courses will be paid for by a WVSA Coaching Grant (all money is donated by local businesses and the general soccer community).
Our hope is for these coaches to help foster a different love for the game and passing on their excitement and enthusiasm to a new generation of players for many years to come.
